I am pursuing projects at the nexus of psychology, general mental health, communications, and engineering, open to collaborations in any of these fields. Please contact me with inquiries.

I completed my medical degree in the MD Program at the University of Toronto, based at the Wightman-Berris Academy. My earlier degrees were in Biomedical Engineering; I completed my Masters degree at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, where I helped develop a new caregiving technology — “biosongs” — that translates children’s body temperature, heart rate, and skin conductance to music. Read more about my research. You may have also come across my writing for Hospital Songs, a medical blog that I founded in 2009 centered on the best of the Toronto Medicine 2.0 community, which has been featured on KevinMD and General Electric’s Healthymaginations.

My hometown is St. John’s, Newfoundland. I’ve lived in Toronto for almost a decade, but I’m an East-Coaster through and through.
